Dustin and Nikki

Dustin and Nicki
Sealed for time and all Eternity
May 29, 2010
in the Washington DC Temple

It was a beautiful wedding. We're so excited to have Nicki in the family and are so happy that she and Dustin started their lives out right together--being worthy to entered the Lord's House together, to be cealed, and be blessed with a marriage centered around our Heavenly Father.

They definitely make a handsome couple.

There's nothing like having someone to call your own, to be the one you talk to in the dark after you've turned the lights out on a long hard day, to have that someone who knows what you're thinking with just a simple look. A coach, a cheerleader, a confidant. Love is what gives us strength to withstand the hardships and enjoy the happiness in life. May Dustin and Nicki's new life together be full of laughter, and smiles, and peace, and safety and joy.
The weather was beautiful for the first part of the day. Then, in the afternoon clouds rolled in and the reception which was to have been held in the Shepherd home was moved into the tight quarters of the living and dining rooms. However, people remained optimistic and we actually enjoyed the intimate situation it provided.

Nicki's nanna Shepherd made a beautifully simple cake.

To celebrate the 53 year marriage of Nikki's maternal grandparents, Venita and Elden Maughan, Nikki presented her bouquet to her grandmother. She expressed her gratitude to them for their example and told her grandma that "a bride of 53 years deserved to "catch" the bouquet."

CONGRATS YOU TWO!!!

*I took a bunch of photos, but when Nicki and Dustin were featured on the LDS Bride website, I       realized mine were nothing compared to the photos taken by their photographer. The photos above      were taken by a friend, Emily Heizer--http://www.eheizerphotography.blogspot.com/ and I copied      them from http://www.theldsbride.com/2010/07/washington-ds-lds-temple-wedding nicki.html
